A four-week course to learn the basics of Ashtanga yoga
Ashtanga yoga uses a set sequence of flowing postures that builds strength, tone and flexibility for the body and increases focus, clarity and calmness for the mind.
Ashtanga Yoga is ideal for beginners and advanced students alike as each student is encouraged to progress at the pace that is right for them.
In this course you will learn the set sequence of postures which include two sets of Sun salutations; A linked set of standing postures; seated postures and closing postures which include purifying rhythmic breath and a deep level of concentration to help relax the mind
This is an exciting and uplifting practice that can help you find new skills and at the same time it is a deeply calming and centering practice. You may find that you become so engrossed in the breath movement synchronization that you simply forget the outside world, and here you have found meditation!
