4 weeks – online live zoom sessions with recording available for home practice
Saturdays 9-10 am
6th to 27th of March
Suitable for beginners to Ashtanga yoga or returners.
Ashtanga yoga is a set sequence that systematically opens the body and mind progressively. (Vinyasa Krama).
The practice encompasses all the 8 limbs (Ashtanga) of yoga and is best learned in a progressive manner under the guidance of a suitably qualified teacher.
In the online Zoom sessions you will be introduced to the Ashtanga sequence bit by bit. Each session will build on the previous one. Following each class you will be provided with the recording for you to practice with. You will then be able to progress to the next part. Your practice will initially be very short and will become longer as you progress (think couch to 5K!).
This session will be delivered by 2 experienced Ashtanga practitioners who are currently also training as yoga teachers, Naomi Abigail and Clare Watson. They will be guided by Eliane Codiroli who oversees their training. Once you have attended the course, you will feel more confident attending general Ashtanga classes.
