Progress Your Practice: Building Strength with Irene – 29th February
Many yoga asanas and transitions require strength – in the legs, arms and core. If strength is missing, we might strain muscles and joints and feel frustrated because certain poses seem beyond our reach. Developing strength can be one of the most satisfying aspects of yoga practice as it has an immediate positive effect not only on executing poses during class but also on stability and balance, good posture, and building inner confidence.
In this Strength Workshop you will work with poses and exercises to help you gradually get stronger. Based on the principles of strength training, you will learn how to best benefit from practising these exercises. You will also be supported in developing a plan for a home practice to help you reach your goals.
Suitable for beginner and intermediate practitioners.
