Stepping into the Forrest: An Intro to Forrest Yoga with Kristi Mae Rodelli – 16th February
FORREST YOGA is an inspiring, grounding, and physically strong practice built on four pillars; breath, strength, integrity and spirit. Through breath work, core exercises and intelligent sequencing, this practice works to release tension, connect to feeling, and build strength, flexibility and awareness in the body.
This workshop will playfully introduce you to the principles of Forrest Yoga while guiding you through a classic Forrest Yoga Sequence of Pranayama (breath work), juicy core work, inversions and standing poses designed to unwind the hips, neck and shoulders.
While many elements of the practice will be familiar, expect to experience postures unique to this style, hold the poses for a tad bit longer, and connect with yourself with compassion, interest and honesty.
This workshop is ideal for anyone with a body. Modifications will be made for different levels, and injuries.
Kristi first discovered yoga in her native country of New Zealand. She travelled to Hong Kong and China in 2003 where she explored more deeply the physical, emotional and spiritual practice of yoga.
