The Road to Inversions with Elly

It is said that if you are stuck in life and don’t know what to do, you should practice an inversion as it will give you a different perspective. As you are literally upside down, everything looks and feels different! This is of course not the only benefit of inversions; there are hundreds of benefits documented in yoga literature. Headstand is often referred to as the King of the Asanas because of its many benefits.
However inversions can also be risky, especially for the neck if not practiced properly and safely.
In this workshop you will learn in a step-by-step manner to practice and prepare for four main inversions;
Shoulderstand – Sarvangasana
Forearm balance – Pincha Maryuasana
Handstand –Ardho Mukha Vrksasana
The aim of the workshop is to give you the tools to work safely and systematically towards the full poses. This workshop is aimed at people who are on the road to inversions or want to improve how they practice inversions.
Eliane is a British Wheel of Yoga teacher and a senior teacher with the Yoga Alliance, with over 14 years teaching experience. She is a passionate and versatile teacher and is dedicated to provide Yoga that is accessible to everyone. Her classes range from Ashtanga and Hot Power Yoga to gentle Yoga and yoga for people with special needs.
