Clare Watson - Yoga Teacher

“Sometimes the smallest step in the right direction ends up being the biggest step in your life. Tip toe if you must, but take the step!”

Well. that was me in 2018! After a 30-year career at senior management level in local government I needed a change and refocus; and inspired by my early career roots and degree in Sports Science and PE teaching, and passion for an active lifestyle, I first committed to a regular yoga practice and fell in love!  With the encouragement of The Secret Space yoga community in Hertford I have worked hard on my practice and been introduced to Ashtanga yoga, which I have become passionate about because it makes me feel strong, more flexible, calmer and I can see improvement like no other practice.

My main teacher is Eliane Codiroli, and I also practice with Joey Miles.  With Elly I have taken the British Wheel of Yoga Foundation Course 1 and now am excited to be taking the BWYQ L4 Diploma in Teaching Yoga over 3 years.  I have also achieved the Academy of Executive Coaching (AoEC) Practitioner Diploma in Executive / Business Coaching which is a conversation skill I aim to combine in my teaching to support students who want to improve their health and wellbeing.

I love teaching Ashtanga yoga to beginners, and those students developing and adapting their practice; but I firmly believe yoga is for ‘every body’ and hope to develop my teaching to support people facing life, mental and physical challenges at any age – and at 58 years old I can definitely say it’s never too late!

I would love you to join me on my journey!
