Gillian (Gill) is a British Wheel of Yoga Diploma teacher and Yoga4Health teacher accredited with The Yoga in Healthcare Alliance. She is an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher who wants to help all people access yoga, particularly those who have injuries or health issues. She wants to help support students to understand their own bodies, improve their health & mental wellbeing as well as enjoying the practice.
Gill has been practicing yoga for over 20 years, she undertook teacher training after suffering a serious illness and realising that her yoga practice made her recovery so much quicker and how precious good health is.
She decided to take the plunge and make Yoga her career and continues her journey to help others reap those benefits by ongoing study and expanding her skills and knowledge. Gill is particularly interested in the scientific research being carried out in regards to efficacy of regular yoga practice and its positive impact on the nervous system and immune system. She is also interested in anatomy and attends workshops and classes regularly.
Gill teaches Hatha yoga, chair yoga and the Yoga4Health protocol and also holds a certificate in teaching Pranayama, the breathing techniques integral to yoga practice.
She has three children and her Hungarian rescue dog Viktor Krum is a regular at some of her classes. She loves Yoga and dog-walking, time with her family and friends as well as reading and travel.
