Gong Bath with Ree

Monthly Saturdays

What is a Gong Bath?

A gong bath is a deeply relaxing and immersive form of sound healing meditation, designed to help you unwind, release tension, and restore your inner balance. During the session you are literally bathed in the soothing vibrations of sound.

Life’s stress, emotions, and daily pressures can often leave you feeling out of tune — physically, emotionally, or mentally. A gong bath, can help “retune” your body, restoring a sense of balance and alignment.

 What to expect

You’ll be invited to lie down comfortably, often under a soft blanket, while the experience is gently guided with simple breathing exercises or mantra chanting to prepare your mind and body.

As the gongs are gradually introduced, their rich vibrations travel through your body, helping to shift stagnant energy and create a sense of harmony. You may also hear other instruments, such as singing bowls, chimes, and rattles, adding layers of sound that deepen your experience.

You may notice your mind and body synchronising with the steady, soothing tones of the gong, a process known as entrainment. This can help calm your nervous system, creating a sense of deep harmony within yourself.

As the sound waves wash over you, you may feel your brain naturally slowing into a state of deep relaxation, particularly the theta and delta brainwave states similar to the restful phases of sleep or daydreaming. In these states, creativity, intuition, and natural healing are encouraged, leaving you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.

  • Sound healing may support a wide range of benefits, including:

  • Deep relaxation

  • Improved memory and concentration

  • Better quality sleep

  • Greater clarity and emotional balance

  • A healthier immune system

  • Enhanced creativity

  • Heightened awareness of self and surroundings

A gong bath can be a deeply nurturing experience, helping you release stress, shift emotional blocks, and simply feel lighter and more at peace.
