February 20th - March 6th (3 week course)

Ashtanga yoga is a dynamic practice that emphasizes breath-to-movement synchronisation to help focus and calm the mind. It is a set sequence that allows for safe and optimal progression; each asana (posture) in the sequence prepares the body and mind for what comes next.

Ashtanga Yoga is also known as the ‘Eight Limbs of Yoga’ (Yoga Sutras of Patanjali), where the practitioner engages in Yoga as a discipline, which includes physical and breath practice, concentration, meditation and increased awareness of living an ethical life.

This is an ongoing series of Ashtanga Primary Series short courses. Each course will focus on a particular aspect of the practice, ranging from breath and dristhi (focus points) to asana alignment and suitable variations and modifications for injuries and other physical restrictions.

These courses are suitable for all yoga practitioners except for complete beginners. If you are a complete beginner and are interested in Ashtanga Yoga, please contact us so we can advise on alternative classes

Investment: £36 for a 3 week course
