A course for the Yoga novice or a complete beginner, or those who have been out of practice and would like a refresher.
Would you like to learn the foundations of Yoga?
Would you like to gain enough confidence and experience to be able to attend a regular class?
Would you like to connect and practice with other beginner Yoga students?
On this course you will:
Explore what Yoga is
Practice the fundamental Yoga Asanas (yoga postures) safely
Learn some basic breathing, relaxation and meditation techniques
Develop confidence in your asana and breathing practice.
Learn how to practice with an awareness of your own body’s needs (this is especially important if you have any injuries)
Learn some of the common Yoga and anatomy terms used by teachers
Gain an understanding of the different types of Yoga on offer and what suits you most
About Jenny:
Jenny has been practicing yoga for over 25 years. Over the years her practice has evolved and adapted to fit in with her life.
Now a qualified 500 hours BWY teacher and Reiki Level 1 she aims to teach yoga classes that are inclusive, supportive, and accessible for all. Jenny's classes are suitable for both beginners and long-term students alike.
What to bring
Everything you need to start with is here for you to borrow, but please bring a blanket for relaxation, and your own mat if you have one.
