Monthly Yin Yoga with Abbie
Our monthly Yin workshop will dive into the dominant organs of the season in order to rebalance our whole being from a cellular level. Expect to let go of stress and float out feeling lighter, calmer and more mobile!
Yin yoga explores the Taoist philosophy of using asana practice, breath techniques and mental processes to restore balance in all three aspects of being – the body, mind and soul. Yin is a slow, deep practice where poses are held for long periods with the aim of improving flexibility and cultivating inner stillness. Yin focuses on stretching fascia, the connective tissue, and the energetic system that lies within the fascia of the body – the meridian lines. If disrupted, or if blockages occur within one or more of these networks the body does not function properly, Chi cannot flow, the organs won’t perform their function, and imbalances arise. When the meridians are clear and open, energy flows freely and all is well once more.
By nourishing our parasympathetic nervous system through this practice of Yin Yoga, we can begin to restore and revitalise our core vitality.
