Mia – Yoga teacher

My yoga journey began in 2008 when I began to take up the practice of Ashtanga yoga and was immediately hooked.I soon decided I wanted to teach and took an 18 month course consisting of asana, observation, adjustment, anatomy, physiology, meditation, Vedic chanting and pranayama.   My main teacher at the time, Denise Martin Harker, left no stone unturned.I also studied with Manju Jois, son of the founder of Ashtanga, who regularly came over from India to teach, and with David Kiel, John Scott, Lucy Crawford and Joey Miles,  Swami Nityamuktananda Saraswati, and the late Swami Veda from the Himalayan Institute.

I adapt my classes to people’s needs and love to pass on all the benefits  of yoga practice .
I continue to do self study and attend workshops when I can .   Yoga is a lifetime of learning and self inquiry that never ends …..
